Position – Senior Designer
Hours  37.5 hours, Mon-Fri, 9.30am- 6pm, flexible working patterns available
Contract – Fixed Term, PAYE
Pay – £36,400 – £39,000 per year, dependent on experience
Holiday –
29 days holiday and half-day Friday every month
Start date – 18th May 2026       
End date – 4th Dec 2026
Location – Bristol – in-house, Hybrid or Remote

A Productions are seeking a highly skilled Senior Designer to join our team on an established CG children’s series with a strong action-comedy focus. The visual style of the show is already defined, and this role will focus on delivering high-quality designs that align seamlessly with the existing look and feel.

Working closely with the Series Director and production team, you will play a key role in maintaining visual consistency while producing creative, production-ready assets.

General Duties:

  • Create character, environment, and prop designs that adhere closely to the established visual style of the series
  • Interpret briefs from the Series Director and production team to deliver clear, animation-ready designs
  • Ensure all work maintains consistency with existing style guides and previously approved assets
  • Collaborate with modelling, rigging, and animation teams to ensure designs translate effectively into CG
  • Revise and refine designs based on feedback, balancing creative input with production requirements
  • Manage your workload to meet deadlines across multiple deliverables

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Senior Designer or experienced Midweight Designer in animation, ideally within CG children’s series
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to match and maintain an established style
  • Excellent understanding of shape, proportion, colour, and visual clarity for animation
  • Ability to work efficiently within an existing pipeline and respond to feedback
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience working in action-comedy genres
  • Familiarity with CG production pipelines and design-to-model workflows
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent)
